Beautiful Gite overlooking the River Charente Le Tournesol situated in the heart of the beautiful region of Poitou-Charentes with its mild and balmy climate. The gîte is located on the side of the valley overlooking the River Charente making it an excellent location for fishing, walking, bird watching and cycling. Le Tournesol is located at the edge of the pretty peaceful village of Alloue where there is a boulangerie, bar/tabac and post office. The medieval town of Confolens, straddling the River Vienne, is just 15 minutes away, which, each August, plays host to an international festival of world music and dance.  Le Tournesol, which sleeps four/five plus cot, has been tastefully restored and renovated by its owners. Whilst preserving its character, all modern conveniences have been included.
