We are pushing boundaries of sustainable, off-the-grid living in order to improve our life without compromising future generations. A group of students at VIA is planning, designing, executing and researching the first Earthship-inspired house in Denmark and the first one done by students in the world. (Earthship is a sustainable, off-the-grid building, to find out more about the Earthship watch this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEg74ZMP4tM ) This is a cross-disciplinary project so we need students from every education!
When built successfully the house will be able to produce its own electricity, drinking water, heating / cooling, sewage treatment and partial food production meanwhile using recycled and easily accesible materials.
