Wk 3.2days Cragievar HMO: Wall space between Kitchen and lounge opened up. Still pushing on for a completion this weekend. Can we make it?🙈, my builder still positive so🤞. ✔️ Carpet fitting booked for Friday ✔️ Energy & Utility Monitor booked for Thursday ✔️ Furnitures & Staging delivery booked for weekend ✔️ Tenants viewing booked for the weekend Some lessons learned so far; ✔️ Don’t underestimate what behind the wallpapers, we’ve done a bit more plastering than expected ✔️ Took a bit more planning and time with removing a single load bearing wall. ✔️ Plan for separate Skip to dispose concrete rubbles We are normally very detailed in our build SOW but there is always the odd details with refurbs. Craigievar HMO Refurb: Wk 2 of the refurb, all coming along nicely. Plastering almost 98% completely, some electrical and painting work starting this weekend & finish early next week, Kitchen delivered. The builder tidied up better this week 👍. We started getting some students inquiries from our ads so push is on to complete.

Update on our Causeyside Project. We delighted to have completed Phase 2- Submission of all planning aand warrant applications. We will now continue to work with the loca council to on the approvals.

What Skip Size do I need? We have done two trips already on our ongoing HMO property refurb even with a large 14 yd skip.🙈😲😀 . Waste disposal on a refurb is one of the things that could be easily overlooked but it becomes very costly. It's always a good idea to cost Skip hire within your refurb cost or during purchase try and negotiate with the sellers to empty the property before completion.

Video of Acoustic set-up we put in place at our Causeyside Property project. As the development is on the high street and close to noise source, we have to complete sound study to satisfy the planning approval for the flats.
