It Mother’s Day and it’s a day for celebrating wonderful mother’s, which we are totally behind but we also understand that for some students in our community it’s a particularly hard day. For anyone struggling we want you to remember that you aren’t alone and there is lots of support for you. BG’s student advice are fantastic and offer all sorts of services including counselling, their reception desk is at the entrance of the library, or you can email them for an appointment on studentadvice@bishopg.ac.uk There is also a lot of good support online, one of which is the young peoples section of the website grief encounter. https://www.griefencounter.org.uk/young-people/

We are so pleased the kittens found in spoons on the high street are doing well. What a great job the RSPCA and their foster mum’s do🐱❤️

Today is international women's day where we celebrate how far we have come for the rights of women. As a campus that is a clear majority of female students, today we celebrate just how much our students have achieved and how much more is yet to come. Yet, today we also reflect on how much we still have to do. The #MeToo campaign and the oppression of Black LGBT+ women to see that there is so much work to be done. The only way to change anything is to listen, learn and speak out. "Let us build bridges - not walls"
