Welcome to the official Facebook page of the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen.  This Facebook page is managed by the students and the marketing team. ISNS was founded in 2002 through the foresight and partnership among the Government of Canada, the Province of New Brunswick, and Dr. Francis Pang, with the vision to educate and embrace the whole child. The goal is to foster a diverse student body through an exceptional education, instilling in young people a love and joy of learning, an ability to think independently, and the confidence to take risks in pursuing their dreams and goals.

We offer an English-based, Canadian curriculum for grades Kindergarten to Grade 12. All of our teachers are well qualified to teach at their respective levels, meeting Canadian certification standards or the equivalent. The Canadian curriculum is internationally recognized, and our graduates are readily accepted to universities worldwide. Our curriculum is built for developing the whole child, integrating visual arts, music, drama, competitive sports, and a strong focus on the environmental sciences with core subject matters. In addition to our already strong teaching methods and international recognition, as of June 12, 2014, ISNS was granted candidate status by the International Baccalaureate Organization for (IB) Primary Years Program/ Middle Years Program / Diploma Program and pursuing authorization as an IB World School. As our teachers receive additional training through the IB organization we hope to further increase the quality of education that we provide as well as the international recognition that our student’s education receives.

We also offer a strong support in English, offering English Second Language and English Language Learner programs. Chinese Second Language is also a compulsory component of our curriculum, offering students the opportunity to learn Mandarin. Starting this year, we will also offer French as an elective to further enhance the language component of our curriculum.

We also offer AP Calculus and AP Chemistry to our high school students, should they wish to take the AP exams for these courses.

At ISNS it is believed that education must change with the times, for this reason every classroom is equipped with a SmartBoard and has access to class sets of macbooks and ipads to complement interactive teaching methods. The spacious purpose built campus includes a large gym, full outdoors track and field, playground and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts.
