We’re on the final lap of our renovations and it’s looking very Old World in here today. :) So much so that three visitors walked in the front door to order lunch. We’ll have a set reopening date announced very soon and I and the staff are excited to get back in the swing of things. This is a shot of one of many great old radiators going in place. We’ll be well equipped to handle even the coldest days.

Well, that’s a load off! She went just as I’d hoped. Great thanks to Yarmouth Crane and Ushers movers for making it happen.

The move continues! We’re pulling together as much local history as possible for our new home. This kitchen light set recently came from the Cotton Mill, some from the old Yarmouth Courthouse as well. We have brass fittings from Kelley’s pub and lounge, Yarmouth architectural and business elements too. Not forgetting the Bank of Yarmouth, the original builder of our location in 1867. Even a touch of the original Starr’s road Superstore. Our March reopening date will be announced soon. Thanks to everyone for your support and interest as we make this all happen. See you soon! Nathan and all the bakery crew.

I’ve spent nearly ten years working within the walls at 232 Main Street. Lots of things can happen over ten years. I stopped working the night shift and started working early mornings. Made my first loaf of bread. I learned how to take pride in the work that I do. Listened in awe as my sister told me I’d become an uncle and stood under beech trees and watched another sister wed. I’ve had the great fortune to stand with the love of my life as she said “I do”. I’ve stood beside my closest friends as they said “I do” to theirs. And I’ve stood beside my father and said “goodbye”. I’ve witnessed the birth of my two beautiful children and watched them grow while in these walls. As I’ve seen many of yours grow here as well. These walls are very familiar and hold many great memories, it’s those memories I’ll take with me. Memories from within walls that aren’t even our own. So I welcome you truly, into our new home and new walls as we move, and as we continue to share a history and build memories that connect us all.
