Plymouth School is a Primary to Grade Six school, combined of both English and French Immersion classes. Plymouth School is a Primary to Grade Six school located in Southwestern Nova Scotia on Highway 334, approximately a ten minute drive from the town of Yarmouth. The school is located in the community of Plymouth, a rural setting between Arcadia and Wedgeport. Plymouth School draws students from the town of Yarmouth and the Municipality of Argyle. Seventeen villages and communities are represented by our student population. The English Public School Program is offered from Primary to Six and the Early French Immersion Program is also offered from Primary to Six. Plymouth School is operated under the jurisdiction of the Tri-County Regional School Board.
Plymouth School is a single story wood frame structure that opened its doors in 1975. On April 12, 1999, a new addition to the school was officially opened. The expansion includes a library, a self-contained classroom, a music and arts room, and a Junior High regulation size gymnasium. A stage, with access from the music room, is located in the gym area. The technology component of this project gives students access to computers, the Internet, and various other technology modules. All rooms in the new wing are wired with data drops for computers and cable TV. These will permit students to make use of the technology as a teaching/learning tool. Computer outlets have also been placed in all rooms of the original school.

The following is from Jim Gunn, Interim Superintendent of Schools - A Note to All Parents and Guardians: Because of the one-day walkout announced by the provincial NSTU, all TCRSB schools will be closed to students, this Friday, February 17. Although no students and teachers will be in schools, all non-NSTU staff members are expected to report to their work site on Friday---bus drivers will receive a specific communication from the Coordinator of Transportation regarding the expectations for their work day. Also, the Early Years Centre at Yarmouth Central will be open on Friday to receive children, but all TCRSB “After School Programs” will be closed because students are not to attend school during the day. At this point, I understand that the NSTU walkout on Friday is for only one day. If I am advised otherwise, I will let everyone know as quickly as possible in advance of next Tuesday---Monday is Heritage Day in Nova Scotia, a statutory holiday.
