We are a small family farm and homestead on the western bank of the Fraser River, north of Williams Lake and south of Quesnel.  North of Williams Lake in British Columbia on the western bank of the Fraser River, we grow vegetables, berries, seed, dried teas and herbs.  We sell our produce at the Quesnel Farmers’ Market (July through October), Cariboo Growers Cooperative Store in Williams Lake and by private order. This year we will be starting a very small scale CSA produce delivery program for a mid-week drop-off in Williams Lake.

We farm organically but are not yet certified. We hope to make this step in the near future. We currently live off the grid with solar and wind power.

Happy May Day! Welcome spring. ... Finally some buds on the birch trees and seeds in the ground. Things have been looking a little 1816-ish around here after a really long winter and late spring. It sure feels good to have the daylight hours and birds returning. We are happy to see some mulberry, black walnut and honey locust seedlings have survived the winter. Spinach, salad turnips and arugula going in tomorrow, followed by radishes and greenhouse transplants... Looking forward to seeing you all at the farmers markets later this season!

This little flower bloomed today. It popped out of the gravel floor in our packing house. To me it's a reminder of the beauty and resilience that sometimes arises from less than fertile conditions. I'm inspiried by the capacities I see emerging in our community. Looking forward to the last Williams Lake Farmers Market tomorrow. We will be there - rain or shine. #railtiesbewise

The rainy weather this week hasn't been as inspiring as the glorious sunny days of summer, but the greens sure love it. Tomorrow at the Williams Lake Farmers Market we are bringing big, tasty green treats including our new trial crop of choi. It is succulent, delicious, and so good for you! I highly recommend scouring your collections for some great recipes: stir fries and beyond! We will also have romaine and red lettuce, lettuce mix, radishes, spinach, broccoli, carrot bunches, beets, green beans, tomatoes, garlic and piles of incredible red and sweet white onions!
