The Fundy Hiking Trail Association: Dobson Trail-Fundy Footpath-Catamount Trail and Town of Riverview invite you to come out on the Dobson Trail at the first fire pit (0.8 km from trail head) for coffee, hot chocolate and Briggs Maple S'mores (whiles supplies last) to celebrate Riverview's trails and give a great send off to the 1st Moncton BPSA (Baden Powell Scouting Association) as they take on the first section of the Dobson Trail to help complete The Tour 150! This relay-style event will bring together participants from all four corners of the province using the trail networks. A wooden map of New Brunswick will be divided into four pieces and each piece will be brought to a different starting point at the outer edge of the province. Starting August 10th each piece will move from its starting point, along New Brunswick’s trail networks, and will be joined together at a public event at Government House in Fredericton on August 26th at 1:00pm. The pieces will be carried by horseback, kayak, canoe, bike, wheel chair, and foot over more than 1300 kilometers of trail. To participate in a leg of the tour, come to this event to cheer on the hikers or see "Riverview Leg of the Tour 150" event to walk with Mayor Ann Seamans and Council on the Riverfront Trail.
