The draw for sport tourism continues to grow in the Niagara Region and the City of Welland is no exception! We were lucky enough to have a fantastic example of these numerous opportunities take place at our facility! As a result of the recent partnership between Hamilton and Niagara and the creation of the Americas Investment Playbook, representatives of the Brazilian national soccer team held a clinic right here on our indoor fields! We love being a part of such phenomenal opportunities and we are thrilled to play a role in the continued growth of sport and sport tourism in Welland, be it soccer or much more!

Challenger Sports - Largest Soccer Camp Operator in the USA and Canada

Challenger Sports’ British Soccer Camp is coming to our facility this summer, allowing Niagara’s budding soccer superstars to join over 150,000 participants around the world who will learn the Challenger Way this year! From August 2-5 and/or August 22-26, youth will have the chance to take on the 1,000 Touches Curriculum and can do so in either a half day (aged 5-14) or full day (aged 6-16) setting! All camps include a FREE soccer ball, t-shirt, and evaluation to go along with the tremendous experience playing the beautiful game! This summer, why not take your soccer game to the next level? Welland Soccer is proud to once again offer Wizard Academy, which is open to both members (FREE) and non-members ($110) of the Welland Soccer! For players born in 2008 and 2009, the eight session program – running from June 8 to August 3 (Boys) and June 9 to August 4 (Girls)) – will be led by instructor Rob Lalama. The Wizard Goalkeeper Academy, aimed at WSC Goalkeepers born 2007 or before, the program will be led by Gerry D’Angelo and will take place from June 8 to August 3. For all non-members who wish to register, you must do so prior to June 8 to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity! Each of the Wizard Academy sessions will take place at the Jean Vanier field from 6:30pm to 8:00pm!
