Today was all about the writing celebrations. The grade 3/4 students had a poetry slam to share some of their favourites poems they wrote. Each student recited their favourite poem and then everyone went around and shared positive written feedback to the other students’ poetry anthologies. Everyone was able to enjoy snacks and juice as well. The grade 5/6s shared their informational writing by holding an international fair where the students got to share some of the interesting facts about the country they researched and wrote about. Some students dressed up in outfits representing their country and made food from their country. It was a fun and informative day.
