A few weeks ago I had a terrible experience at a Chinese Buffet while doing the whole60 challenge. So I've decided to test a different restaurant weekly to see how friendly they are for people who follow certain diets or have food intolerances. Today, we went to Nickel's Deli restaurant , I explained to the server I was on a prescribed diet and I ordered the Florentine Benedict eggs without cheese and hollandaise sauce and I asked her to add fruits. She asked me if I wanted potatoes and I replied by asking her if they could switch them with sweet potatoes instead - she said no and gave me a big smile- I have to say that it was definitely a good service because she tried to accommodate my needs and was very polite - she made a joke about my being on a diet. Maybe next time I will try the gluten sensitivity card! 😉
