EQ over IQ: How play-based learning can lead to more successful kids

Mini City

While a large focus is placed on your child’s cognitive development, focusing on physical skills is just as essential. Gross motor skills involve large movements, such as running, jumping, throwing or lifting, and usually develop over a short period of time. Refining these skills is important, and relies on good muscle strength, an open play space, and peers to interact with! Our Mini City allows children to play and develop in a tiny Toronto. Gross motor skills are built through lifting and dumping gravel, and by riding around on tricycles and scooters. It even offers a crawl space for our tiniest visitors to begin moving and lifting!
