I do not remember when it happened. I remember my sister, friends and co -workers used to bring me Japanese treats.
From then on whenever I have extra cash, I go to the nearest Japanese store and shop!
Not for clothes, bags or shoes – but anything that is edible.
It becomes included on my monthly schedule. Pay day = Japanese treats day!
I can’t read Japanese. I do not know what kind of snacks or candies I am grabbing. Clueless but visual.
All I know is they are treats to me. They are my happy munch.
It never fails to satisfy my curiosity on how this and that tastes like. It is always worth of a try. - and makes me to keep on coming back.
When we arrived to Canada, this is also what I looked for. My happy store. I found and visited one Japanese store in Lethbridge. The store is fine. They serve mostly what a you need in living.
What I am looking for is "treats".
Having this love relationship with Japanese sweets. and the echoing voice from my mom " Do whatever you love. " - and the support of my team A.K.A ate Zen, Jessica, Ron and Sofia:
