Community Clean up - New Date

This is an ADVISORY from the Town of Sussex. It is Sunday, May 7th. Residents of the Town of Sussex and the surrounding areas should be advised that water levels have reached flood stage and there is more rain in the forecast. The Town of Sussex Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has been activated. Residents should take all necessary steps to secure their home and belongings, and have ready any medications and essentials you will need in the event that you are asked to evacuate. You may also want to arrange for care of your pets should you have to leave your home. Please monitor local media and weather forecasts for further details.

A special morning at Town Hall as members of the 8th Hussars raise the Flags of Tynaarlo, Netherlands and the Regimental pennant to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the end of offensive operations in WWII.

Come out and join the Town of Sussex's Clean team for the annual community clean up. There will be prizes for largest group registered, team name/theme a draw for families registered and most garbage collected. There will be music and a BBQ, bags and gloves will be provided.
