We're holding a volunteer maintenance outing on Saturday, August 26 on Bear Cove Path and we're looking for volunteers! No experience is necessary and instruction will be provided. This is a great opportunity to help the trail and meet new people! The East Coast Trail Association and the Trans Canada Trail, with the support of the Government of Canada, invite you to a very special event on Saturday, August 26th at Cape Spear National Historic Site! The event will celebrate the new partnership between the East Coast Trail and the Trans Canada Trail and Canada's 150 years as a nation. The event will be in two parts; a hike from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and a social celebration with light food, music, and fun, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. It is completely free and everyone is invited!!! Free busing will be provided to and from the event and pre-registrants are eligible for a prize which includes our newly branded t-shirt!
