Hey there #OTFStjohns, we're back with another #transformationtuesday! Today's member of the week is Kate! "I joined OTF on a whim before it was even officially opened. I knew that I loved how I felt when I was consistently working out, but I wasn't the best at keeping myself in the routine, maybe having to book in advance would get me there. I have to admit though, I was apprehensive. The idea of a fitness class bored me to death. I went to see Andy anyway, in a little trailer in the parking lot, and here we are! It's changed my life in a few ways. First, I could not run. I'd been telling myself that for years. I used to dread having to do runs for swimming or rowing practice. My back would start hurting two minutes in, guaranteed. I started walking at OTF, and more than anything, I'm proud to say that a 9 mph all-out is my new normal! I've been telling everyone I know about OTF, but also I've really been focusing on sharing the importance of fitness with people around me, especially for mental health! I get so much joy when someone lets me know that something fitness related that I shared helped them and OTF has given me the confidence to be vocal about it. I can only hope that the coaches and staff know even a fraction of what they do for members on a daily basis. You can walk in there anxious, or down, or upset and know that you'll be walking out feeling accomplished! If you've made it down this far, you might also want to know how much I've lost in this process... 40 lbs! The constant guidance and support during the workouts from the coaches are priceless. They really help you learn to push yourself beyond any limitations you've set! Seriously, it's worth the hour to at least come try it!" Way to go Kate! Your progress is fantastic! 🙌
