Viewing the night sky will never be the same again. If you have binoculars please bring them to the show as you will be able to practice finding deep sky objects while in the theatre. LUCKY is the last major role of the great American actor, Harry Dean Stanton, who died Sept. 15. Fans knew Stanton as a rugged character actor and Jack Nicholson famously carved his initials into every film set. But the most personal tribute of all, a new film called LUCKY, was released just two weeks after his death and will live on as a testament to the actor’s great skills. LUCKY follows the spiritual journey of a 90-year-old atheist and the quirky characters that inhabit his off the map desert town. Having out lived and out smoked all of his contemporaries, the fiercely independent Lucky (Harry Dean Stanton) finds himself at the precipice of life, thrust into a journey of self exploration, leading towards that which is so often unattainable: enlightenment. It’s a fitting journey for the season. “Everything Harry Dean Stanton has done in his career, and his life, has brought him to his moment of triumph in LUCKY, an unassumingly wonderful little film about nothing in particular and everything that’s important.” Variety. Run time: 88 mins Rated: Not Rated Tickets: $10 adult, $7 student
