My "Grampie Ken" was my inspiration before I knew the meaning of the word. As an early orphan, Ken always found a way to beat the odds. He was an eventual successful businessman, father, mentor, teacher, mayor and entrepreneur, he knew the value of building and maintaining relationships. He was a proud woodsman, and a Maritimer. He loved Nova Scotia, but always claimed New Brunswick Wood " Burnt slower and hotter" Now, I find myself far removed from the life lessons taught on a Golf Course in the Annapolis Valley, but more like a rendition of "Can't You See" by Matt Minglewood fulfilling more opportunity and possibility in Red Deer Alberta. Now I find myself following in Kens footsteps, with no plan or intention to ever do so. I am far from owning a dealership like he eventually did, but I am now selling cars, like he did, with the ethics and moral compass he taught me.
