Today was a little more grey at Merivale than expected. Merivale graduate Alex Mateas and defensive coordinator Mark Nelson brought the Grey Cup over for a lunch time viewing. In a battle that will be remembered for ages, the teachers were able to hold off the students in this year's Students VS Teachers Basketball Game for Toy Mountain. With a final score of 32-31, fans were treating to a game full of thrills, chills, and a few spills. Congratulations to all involved and a HUGE SHOUT OUT goes to the game MVP Mr. Ballin' Boudreault! Just to show that it doesn't take the holidays to brighten someone's day, our leadership class hosted students from Sir Winston Churchill PS, Steve MacLean PS, and Carleton Heights PS for our annual Girls Self-Esteem Day. This day focuses on issues such as mental health, peer pressure, and nutrition. Congrats to all the participants on an excellent job.
