Best wishes from Vancouver Island University for Chinese Spring Lantern Festival-元宵节(Yuanxiao Jie). The Spring Lantern Festival is important because it marks the end of Chinese New Year. It was the equivalent of Valentine's Day in ancient China. The "Tangyuan", a small dumpling filled with peanuts and sesame, is the traditional food for this day in China.

Holi is an Indian festival also known as " festival of colors". This festival signifies the victory of good over evil and its celebrations begin with a bonfire on the night prior to the day of Holi where people gather to pray and continues till the morning of the Holi where people enjoy by throwing colors and water on one another. So here's wishing everyone a happy and a colourful #Holi! #VIU #Holi2018
