Spring Clean Up has been extended!

EXTENDED!! Due to the cold wet weather, the CiB Earth Week Spring Clean-Up has been extended all this week (May 1 - 6). Register your public realm clean-up event with the Visitor Centre (306-662-4005 or tourism@maplecreek.ca) and join us for the CiB Spring Clean-Up Volunteer Pizza Party on Sat. May 6th! A special bin has been located behind the C.M. Glascock Building for clean-up week garbage collection. Thanks to Sally Chant for this photo of the Maple Creek Girl Guides, Sparks, Brownies & Pathfinders who assisted with tidying at the CiB Community Garden!

In honour of Canada's 150th anniversary, rather than a CiB Flower of the Year, the Maple Creek CiB Steering Committee decided to go with colours of the year: Red & White! Show your Canadian pride with beds and pots planted in Canada's national colours! Gardener's choice on the flower varieties :-)

Communities in Bloom Committee was pleased to be the judges for the Cowtown Christmas Decorating Contest. All those selected by the judges will be part of the Twinkle Tour on December 15th. Tickets available at the Visitor Centre.

Thanks to Sally Chant & her crew, Maple Creek Communities in Bloom received Outstanding Achievement Award for Land Reclamation for turning a vacant lot into our Community Garden. Award was presented at the CiB National Symposium in Regina this evening.
