Please note that between Dec 22 and Jan 2, the Fanshawe Park Office will be closed for the holidays. During this period the yellow gate at Fanshawe Dam will also remain closed. Patrons can still access and use the property daily, dawn to dusk, and can park in the lot prior to the dam on the east side of the road. Also note that as usual, pets must be leashed and under control at all times. Happy Holidays!

Please note that during this wintery weather and significant snow falls, FCA staff are on site early in the mornings and through the day with snow clearing and removal equipment, working at opening up the main roads and parking lots around the Watershed Conservation Center, Park Office, Pioneer Village and Safety Village. Please give the staff space, especially during blowing snow conditions, and ensure they see you before trying to pass them.

Please note that our 2017 camping season concludes today (October 15th) and that the yellow gates at Fanshawe Dam will be locked at 2pm this afternoon. All vehicles will need to be parked on the gatehouse side of the dam at that time. Beginning Monday October 16th, the yellow gates at Fanshawe Dam will be open to vehicle traffic Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4pm. Outside these hours the gates will remain locked. Also please remember, while using the property during our non-operating season, that pets still MUST be leashed at all times and that patrons are permitted on the property between dawn and dusk. Thank you for an awesome 2017 operating season and we are already looking forward to 2018!

Hydro update for Woodlands Section overnight hydro camping: Unfortunately our hydro company cannot get a transformer onsite and installed today, Sunday the 24th. They will be on site around 8:30 am Monday morning to strip the pole down so new components can be installed. At this time all campers staying in Woodlands for this evening have been contacted in person, except a few offsite for the air show, and arrangements have been made for this evening. Staff will meet the remaining 2 sites when they return later today. Thank you everyone for you cooperation while we work to get he hydro restored.

Hydro update: please note that when the linesmen tried to pop the fuse back in it just blew again. So the issue was not the fuse but the actual canister on that pole. Unfortunately we will not be to replace that canister this evening nor restore power, and our linesmen are trying to get a new one for Sunday. Sorry for this inconvenience, these extreme temps are not helping with a full park and lots of hydro load. For all overnight campers in Woodlands Section, on hydro sites, security staff should be coming by your site shortly to explain what has happened and with instructions for you for Sunday. Sorry for this inconvenience.
