The Ottawa Church of God
Description
At the Ottawa Church of God, we believe the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. The Church of God has adopted the following Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression of its doctrine. Our History:
The Ottawa Church of God was first organized in June 1975 under the leadership of Rev. McIntyre and his assistant, Rev. C.B. Blake. This congregation began with a small group of believers who first met for Prayers and Bible Studies at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Wisdom.
The Lord continued to bless His work in such a tremendous way that in November 1981 the Church purchased a larger place of worship at 1319 Wellington Street.
By 1990, the Church needed more space and God provided for the purchase of 1820 Carling Avenue.
In 1994, Rev. & Mrs. Blake were appointed Regional Overseer for Ontario and Superintendent of Canada. Consequently, Rev. & Mrs. R.C. Hugh Nelson were called to Pastor the Ottawa Church of God.
In 2003, Bishop & Mrs. Nelson were called to Pastor the East Flatbush Church of God in New York.
Bishop J.W. Bruno was appointed as the Senior Pastor of the Ottawa Church of God in 2003. His lovely wife Renny oversees the Ladies Ministries in the Ottawa District. Together they are producing excellent results for the Lord
To God be the Glory!

Our Vision
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish:....... (KJV)
Our Vision is how we plan to accomplish our mission. It is what we focus on and what we consider most important.
Our vision ensures there is no stagnancy but continuous growth. Upward growth bring us closer to God. Outward growth brings us closer to the hurting world. Forward growth accomplishes greater things.
Our Vision Statement
Our vision is to help each person identify his/her Spiritual Gifts, to provide training and direction, and to explore opportunities for ministry. As believers operate in their areas of gifts, there is a greater sense of personal fulfillment, the "Body of Christ" is edified, and the community (especially the city of Ottawa), is served through the loving power of God.
Our Vision Goals
Sharing the grace of God with the people of the Ottawa region.
To get a new site that will enable us to provide the services we offer to the community more effectively.
Ensure the success of the SSSOC in assisting the under privileged in the community by releasing our ministers and members to serve.
