Action Client Transformation Update Client = Petra Program = Nutrition Prescription Online Inches Lost = 30" Weight Lost = 18lbs Petra has worked super hard on her progress and is kicking some major butt right now! Like all people when they first start with nutrition, they have a goal of dropping a bunch of weight as fast as possible. They want to be that Instagram hit wonder eating piles of flexible foods and bragging about it all their weight loss, when this is rarely never the case. I have a process I use with all clients before any weight loss happens. Nothing I do is linear or cookie cutter bullshit that a lot of people give out. I work on so many factors that come with healthy long lasting fat loss and slowing the aging process! When I started with Petra she, like most, thought she had to do boat loads of cardio, eat less carbs and eat tons of protein and veggies. No, not with her in this case. Step one, after getting to know her with my protocols for a few months. When I had a solid grasp of the direction we needed to take, we started improving these factors: - digestion - sleep - insulin sensitivity - stress and cortisol management - lifestyle factors - minerals, vitamins and electrolytes - individualized macros We were not focused only on fat loss, we had that goal in the back of our minds, but first was repairing the body....then the body would take care of fat loss. Lots of analysis had to be done in our first few months to figure out the whole picture. Examples: *If you are not digesting your food, you are not absorbing nutrients. * If you are gaining weight with just the slightest amount carbohydrates your insulin sensitivity is off big time when on a solid training program * If you cannot sleep and wake through the night, how do you regenerate your body. Now Petra is eating more than double what she was before. She is assimilating and absorbing nutrients. Her sleeping has improved greatly Training and workouts are fantastic She does not have insulin resistance and carbs are becoming her friend again :-) Great work Petra!! Sadly I see all of the above and more with a lot of clients who come to me. I tell them what needs to happen and a few are simply not willing to go on that route, so they go pick the quick route and age themselves even more with an unqualified coach or some soup cabbage diet crap that hurts them even more. Or simply put, they are too lazy to put in the work. People, remember that you only have one body, why not treat your body with the respect it deserves and make it run the best you can to feel the best you can. Once your new body is running on all cylinders you will be able to enjoy more flexible foods without the risk of hurting yourself even more and feel what it is like to have an optimal running body as you did as a child. Take the time to get your body running like it is supposed to and you will be on a path to a longer, healthier life.
