Another successful tournament was held at Heritage with 24 teams competing in the event sponsored by Hollis Wealth Management. Thanks to the sponsor and all who competed. Winning teams were skipped by Chrystal Shephard and Richard Burrows.

Heritage Greens LBC proud to announce that the 2nd season of the Ontario Premier League (OPL) has begun and a team from Heritage Greens LBC is returning for another crack at the Championship! Last year our team surprised a lot of people when we took first place during the regular season and it went down to the wire for the OPL Championship! Attached is a season schedule with our team roster and all of our planned games. This will be posted in the club as well. All our home games (played at Heritage Greens) are in orange! We hope that you will come out and support the team and show your club & district pride! We want to show everyone else that we have the best district and most support of anyone in the province! If you want to see some fun and exciting games as well as some GREAT bowls, you won't want to miss it.

Tonight is the first night in a series of Wednesday New/Novice Bowler coaching sessions at Heritage Greens LBC! If you want to learn more about the fundamentals of delivery, basic rules and regulations, etiquette and ask questions you've been dying to ask, then come on out!! 6:30pm start and a loose 9:00pm finish depending on the eagerness of the participants. See you on the greens!!

Thanks to all our members who came out to help promote our game today. Special thanks to CTV Kitchener and Lyndsay Morrison for their great help in publicizing our Open Houses. What a fun night it was.

Our first tournament of 2016 was held May 21. The Open 4's event was sponsored by Vassalo and Associates Wealth Management. 16 teams of some of Ontario's finest bowlers competed. The winning team of Mike Spadafora, Kevin Jones,Brian Broome and Kody Olthof took home the $500 first prize. Runers up were the Heritage team of Skip, Colin Thomson, Agnes Bajkai, Paul Kirby, and Fran Stigter. Congratulations to all the winners.

Tell your friends, family and co-workers about our Open Houses this week. Come out and try this fantastic sport of strategy and skill. It's like curling on grass - but better. It's warm and you don't have to sweep!

Heritage Greens is proud to offer Coaching nights! For the first four Wednesdays in June we will offer New Bowler/Novice Bowler nights that will cover the very basics of bowls (delivery, rules, etc.) - everything to get you into a jitney! For every Thursday from the beginning of June through to September we will also offer a more advanced series of coaching nights that will start with Fundamentals and slowly move into strategy, tactics, team play and so on. Everything a player needs to start into Tournaments, Districts and Provincials! Topics of each night at noted in the flyers so you can pick and choose which nights you wish to attend. This will be open to non-members of Heritage as well. We simply ask that for each night attended a donation be made to the club to help with the upkeep of the greens and club (like a Toonie).
