We are absolutely humbled by the way our community continues to the support of the Ray of Hope Community Centre (ROHCC) through the Coldest Night of the Year. We believe this stream of blue toques is proof of that. Annually the Community Centre serves over 70k meal, distributes 6k food hampers, and provides over 1k showers & loads of laundry. But beyond the physical needs we have been able to facilitate creative programming like Rhythms of Hope & Streetwise Guys, plus partner with other agencies to provide housing supports and mental heath & addiction support. We would like to deeply THANK the 107 volunteers - 857 registered walkers - 3000+ donors for helping make Saturday's Coldest Night of the Year literally the best event ever. Although the scoreboard lists our total being $186,000, the real number after all the handed in pledges on Saturday evening is just over $196,000!! Wow, our Waterloo Region is SO generous, it's amazing! There is still time to support your a favourite walker or team and maybe help us reach 200 ;) The www.cnoy.org website will be "live" until March 18th.
