"Your place to connect, learn, grow, play and stay" The Irricana & Rural Municipal Library is committed to providing the best service for our patrons. We offer a diverse range of books, e-Books, audiobooks, CD's, DVD's, seasons of your favorite TV shows, magazines (both electronic and print), programs, activities and video conferences.
We also offer our patrons access to many e-resources such as Tumblebooks (which are animated, talking picturebooks), Freegal (which is a free and legal music download application that allows the user to choose from over 7 million songs and download 3 per week), OverDrive e-Books, Mango Language Learning, and many more.

Happy 2018 Everyone! Here are the programs for the month of January Crib and Canasta, Every Monday and Thursday From 6pm – 8pm (Mondays) And 2pm – 4pm (Thursdays) Family Game Night, January 9th and 23rd Come for some family bonding over Classic Board Games! From 3pm – 5pm Student Study Hour, January 16th and 30th Need a quiet place to study? We are happy to help by providing a quiet space to study with resources available for reference. From 4pm – 5pm Adult Art Night, January 17th and 31st Who says colouring is only for children? Unleash your inner artist and get creative. Whether your skill level is stick men or the Mona Lisa, all types of artist are welcome. From 5pm – 8pm Traveling Tales and Tunes, Every Thursday Come connect with your little one for songs, laughter, learning and play! From 10am – 10:45am Saturday Crafts! A new Craft every Saturday! From 1pm – 4pm
Our January Calendar!
To our patrons, the Irricana library will be closing for the holidays. Starting December 23rd, we will be closing until after the New Year. We will be open regular hours starting January 6th. We will also be open for four hours only on January 3rd and 4th from 11am – 3pm If you have any items that need returning, please hold onto them until we are open once again. Please do not put them in the drop box outside as we do not wish to keep our items out in the weather for the next two weeks. Thank you for your patronage, have a very Merry Christmas and we hope to see you all in the New Year.
Programs for the month of December!! December 2, Letters to Santa! Want to tell Santa what you want for Christmas? Then why not write him a letter? From 2pm - 3pm December 4th, 11th and 18th, Crib Night December 5th and 19th, Crocheting hats with Sam Last month we learned how to make Scarves, For the month of December our focus is hats! From 2 pm – 5 pm December 6th, Custom Cards! What’s better than a homemade card? From 5pm – 7pm December 7th and 21st, Student Study hour For an hour we offer a quiet place to study. From 4pm – 5pm December 12th, Sock Decorating Have a blank Christmas sock that looks like it could use a make over? Then its time to bring out your creative sides to brighten up your fire place. From 2 pm – 5pm December 13th and 20th, Gift Wrapping Need to wrap gifts without prying eyes? We can help you with that, just remember to bring you’re gifts and wrapping paper. From 4pm – 7pm These are all the programs we will be running throughout the month of December. We will be closed for the Holiday’s from December 23rd to January 2nd. Happy Holiday's everyone!
