Hey, I just wanted to give a big shout out to Avocobar who has graciously provided prizes for the Sandy Hollow Open two years in a row. We had them cater a special event recently and the food they provided was absolutely fantastic. I doubt you'd find better value, or a fresher more healthy meal, no matter how many you are trying to feed (we fed approx. 200). I cannot recommend them enough. Try them out, whether for lunch for yourself, or to cater an event you might be hosting.

Tiffin Centre course will be in this spring, as soon as the snow melts. 9 holes, kid friendly, with all holes under 200'. A good mix of open, and tightly wooded holes. Should be fun for the little ones (and I imagine for some of you big ones too).

Some course sponsors you may want to consider supporting in the offseason - Bliss Yoga on Dunlop street to keep you in shape, and Veitch Chiropractic to help with any nagging offseason injuries.

We are proud to annouce that The City of Barrie is renewing our 5 year lease at the Sandy Hollow Disc Golf Park. This may include expansion of our 19 hole course layout to 21 holes. This will create new tee-sign sponsorship opportunities. The Barrie Disc Golf Association has designed a 9 hole kid friendly Disc Golf course for the Tiffin Center, 10 minutes west of Barrie. Holes range from 100'-175'. Disc Golf will be a part of the programming offered to the more than 16000 kids who visit the Tiffin Center annually. More details to come!

A few big disc golf events going down around us this weekend and next. Today The Midland/Barrie special tag event is happening up at Little Lake Park. Also, The Dads of Muskoka are hosting a fundraising event today up at their new course in Bracebridge. And next weekend, Tudhope park in Orillia will host it's first ever disc golf event, with an eye towards permanent course installation soon. Disc Golf is absolutely exploding north of the GTA! Go out and support these events, check these courses out, or get in contact with the groups involved to find out more and how you can help #growthesport in your neighbourhood.

Big news in the disc golf world today!

They're back!

Sandy Hollow Open goes down in just under 2 weeks time. We will have a record setting 86 disc golfers, including 4 players who finished in the top 10 at the Canadian National Championships (aka TIML) this past weekend: Chris Ozolins (3rd), Clayton Morgan (9th), Jamie Pay & Greg Grootenboer (tied for 10th). We also have 6 of the top 10 Amateur Disc Golfers from Nationals as well: Chris Mccormick (2nd), Chris Brown (3rd), Ben Kurvits (4th, playing Open at Sandy Hollow), James Duong & Tyler Smith (tied for 7th, Tyler is playing Open at Sandy Hollow) and Adam Gowland (10th). Some of the best Disc Golfers in Canada will be here. If you didn't get signed up, but you want to come out and be a part of the event, feel free. No cost, just be respectful of the players please. Also, if you would like to volunteer, please msg me. I will need spotters for a few holes, and score counters between rounds.

So, tee pads are now complete(ish). Big thanks to Dan O, Blair Cronk and Ryan Griffiths who slugged it out in heat to get this finished. We will be organizing one more work day before the open to complete a few other projects around the course before 84 disc golfers descend onto the Hollow. Stay tuned.
