#SHARETHEDREAM Expression Of Interest (EOI) for both Sudirman Cup and Commonwealth Games is now open at the "Badminton Hub" (deadline for submission is 5pm AEST Friday 20th January 2017). At the link below you will find: Tab 1: Sudirman Cup – Formal EOI we require some indication of number of days volunteering and other relevant information. Tab 2: Commonwealth Games – Informal EOI as we require an indication of your willingness to be a volunteer. A Commonwealth Games Volunteer portal (www.gc2018.com/take-part/volunteering) will officially open Monday 6th February 2017, it will be only open for one month, after that time no other people can be added to this volunteer pool. It is highly recommended that all Technical Officials (line judges & umpires) apply to be a volunteer for Commonwealth Games just in case they are not selected as a Technical Official. (we can withdraw people but cannot add people once the Games portal closes) We expect both Sudirman Cup and Commonwealth Games volunteers positions to be oversubscribed, unfortunately some people will be disappointed (preference may be given to people who are available for both events). A big thank you to Tristan Clow from Queensland Badminton Association for the time and effort in putting this volunteer portal together.

#BAJuniorHighPerformance: A great week in Singapore has come to a close for the Australian National Junior Squad after some fantastic training, sparring and international tournaments. The players participated in the Singapore Youth International and the Ocean Free Age Group Championship. Sydney Go provided the highlight of the week by reaching the final of the U13 GS at the Ocean Free event, while Otto Zhao and Ricky Tang made the semi final of the SYI U13 BD. Thanks to the officials and all the parents who helped make this event a success.
