Hello friends of TRI - please spread the word as we are looking to enlarge our theatre family and rent out some of our spaces to other theatre makers : Would suit a small theatre company , co - operative or group of designers as: work , building , theatre making , storage and rehearsal space . Theatre Research Institute is looking for practicing artist, group or company to take on studio space in our well established warehouse, . All disciplines welcome but theatre makers, set/costume designers, builder/ makers, musicians, physical performers, dancers are a priority to fill a vacancy. The institute comprises of individual artist studios, plus shared spaces : arts library, kitchen, bathrooms and out door dirty space workshop area. and most importantly a THEATRE with a 4m x 5m stage and / or CINEMA with a raked auditorium, which can be used for rehearsals, shows and events. The ideal applicant will be a passionate about their work , research and development and is interested in a long term relationship with the Institute with options of collaborations as well as a mature co operation in the smooth running of the space . The right persons with a complementary work ethic will gain many benefits and support from the Theatre Research Institute. Our focus is on sustainable design , up- cycling and supporting independent arts. Live- in is an option but an active arts practice must be a priority.
