In today's busy world, more than any other time there is a need for us to slow the pace, calm our mind and be more present. There is now a higher incidence of stress and anxiety related disorders than ever before. Stress and anxiety can wreak havoc on our immune system, digestive system and nervous system. There is now a vast amount of research on the benefits yoga has on stress and anxiety levels as well as many other health benefits including lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol, improved concentration and reduced back and neck pain.
The Dance Collective, Perth's premier dance training centre and performance company now holds weekly Yoga classes!

Tomorrow 6.15am we offer our first ASHTANGA class! Great for yogis of all levels. Welcome class only $10. Join Heather Kristyn (Heather Kristyn Yoga) for a balancing yin and yang class. It's the perfect way to start your day. Heather's classes are founded on 'Ashtanga yoga' also known as the eight limbs of yoga based on Pantanjali's yoga sutras. She incorporates breath work (pranayama), postures (asana) and philosophy to assist you in finding inner peace. Each class starts with some active yang postures and ends with some nourishing yin postures before finishing with a blissful meditation. You will walk away from each class feeling more centred and grounded. No prior yoga experience is required.
