Rescue 521's last 24 hours have been very busy with the night crew tasked to Tully early this morning for a motor vehicle accident. The day crew followed the job by a tasking to Ayr for a car roll over. Once the aircraft was refuelled back at Townsville the crew continued on to Ingham for a man suffering chest pain. Once the taskings were complete, Rescue 521 conducted pilot and crew winch training as a half yearly currency. Drive safe these holidays!

In the early hours of the morning Rescue 521 were tasked to transport a little boy from Charters Towers hospital to Townsville hospital. Upon arrival we learnt it was actually his first birthday! Possibly not the most ideal way to spend your first birthday however we wish him a speedy recovery and hope Dad and his helicopter ride was as comfortable as it could've been.
