Dear Families, We are excited to let you know that over the coming weeks our centre will be getting painted! Over the weekend, the carpet from our walls will be removed, and the centre will be cleaned before the children return to care on Monday. From Monday 19th June, the painters will be in the centre throughout the week. During this time, the children may be in different rooms. We wish to reassure you that the paint meets childcare standards and that we have been in consultation with the Environmental Health Centre to ensure this is a safe process for the children, with minimum disruption to their care. We appreciate your patience throughout this process. We are excited to be introducing some calming and neutral colours to the centre to create a more “homely” feel. Any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to Lisa or Jenna.

Pyjama Day

Time to warm up! On this day we would like to encourage all the children to come dressed in their Pyjamas or Onesies for the cosiest day of the year!

The Seals children have been watching the Autumn leaves on the tree outside over the last couple of weeks. During this week we did an activity where we looked closely at the leaves, and their different colours, and recreated what we saw on to paper with different coloured paints. Outcome 4, Principle; Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships, Practice; Responsiveness to children.

Today we said goodbye to our wonderful Early Childhood Teacher Olivia.The children farewelled her at Afternoon Tea with a surprise poster in the office, as well as a book they have been working on and a frame of thumbprints and a bunch of flowers :-) Olivia has been a wonderful asset to our centre and we wish her all the best for her future in Adelaide!

Today we had some fun with "Sports Colours Day." Educators and children had a bit of friendly rivalry talking about their favourite sports teams, and this afternoon have loved being in the sunshine having "Footy Kicks"!

Every day's a good day for a concert! Yesterday the Dolphin and Kinder children were using the decking to play "stages and singers". From this, the children have loved exploring a REAL microphone today! Outcome 5: Children express ideas and make meaning using a range of media.
