Southern Flinders Players
Description
Port Pirie Community Theatre The Southern Flinders Players originally began as the Gilbert and Sullivan Society in the early 80’s. Initially performing Gilbert and Sullivan musicals the group expanded to other productions such as Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and Godspell taking the company through to the 2000’s. In 2004 My Fair Lady was performed in conjunction with the Port Pirie Theatre guild. As members moved on to other things the group reinvented itself as a Theatre Restaurant Troupe touring through South Australia and Broken Hill. In 2008 the company changed its name to Southern Flinders Players and performed a number of theatre shows and charity events. After a quiet few years Southern Flinders Players reappeared, reformed and were rejuvenated to perform an almost sold out season of Chicago in 2014.
Expanding beyond Port Pirie into the other local regions we have found that theatre and a love for the arts is well and truly a passion of the mid north. We hope that you will continue to support us as we continue to expand and promote the arts in and around Pirie.
Southern Flinders Players is always welcoming of new members 16 years and older.
