Our Little Caravan, is a beautiful, boutique vintage handmade crafts store located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Set around Mabel, our little vintage caravan, you can join in casual craft classes and workshops, or browse our wide collection of locally hand made vintage gifts and homewares.

Welcome Wednesday Owl and Frog Designs My name is Sharyn from Owl and Frog Designs. I love developing hands on creations for children to enjoy and be inspired by. My passion is to design items that encourage imagination and creative play in children. In life we need to learn to be creative to enable us as children and adults to problem solve any issues that arise. Play is a starting point for children to experiment with possible outcomes within a safe activity. I gain inspiration from the "Steiner Education" theory of using natural materials and provide items that allow children to totally dictate their own play based on their feelings and life experiences. I love the use of natural materials as it encourages the children to feel the materials while they play. I really believe the sense of touch is just as important as the look of color when developing items for children to enjoy.

Welcome Wednesday: Earth Friendly Jewellery I am a Melbourne based Jeweller who works with abalone shell collected from the Port Phillip Bay. It's a family business, as my young boys snorkel and Rockpool to collect the shells that are then hand polished and carved to create beautifully delicate Jewellery. I also have a very special range of memorial lockets with a secret compartment to hold ashes - this grew from a customer enquiry and over 6 months I worked with her customer to develop a beautiful piece.
