Sustainability, reuse and recycle are really important values to teach our children. I'm learning so much as I continue on my journey with early childhood education. On the weekend I visited Salamander Recycling Centre with my daughter Jess and granddaughter Sara. I spent just $30 and came away with three toys, 3 gym steps, an amazing mirror for our outdoor area, a few ornaments for our fairy house and some sauce bottles for our craft work. Amazing and the children seemed to enjoy what I showed them today. Little minds being stimulated.

A few new things to stimulate the imaginations of these gorgeous kids. A mud kitchen and stove, big painting easel, commando tube and a couple more bikes. Fun, fun, fun.

Here's some of the Fathers Fay craft the children did this week. I hope there are some happy and proud Mum's and Dads out there today, enjoying a beautiful day.

A tiny new addition to the outdoor environment created a lot or interest. Idea thanks to Joan Larson. Thanks Joan, the fairies are a favourite!

Here are some pics from inside my family day care. Plenty of activities for the children to engage in, and plenty to share. We have a lovely meals area, which doubles as our inside work space. Two separate rooms are available for sleep times and a selection of quiet activities for the older children who may not need a sleep. It is still early days and I'm always on the look out for new items to purchase or make. Love the sights where the educators share their ideas. When I get a few more of mine up and running I will be sure to share too.😀

Finally getting a few more things together. Here are a few snapshots of our outdoor play yesterday. The children loved the little tent, going in the front door and crawling out the back of the tent. Needless to say the sand pit play and enjoyment is a given!😊Happy days, even though it is very cold!🌬
