Craving backcountry powder? Myoko, Japan was once a well-kept secret, but with some 16m+ of snow in past seasons the word is out on this terrific Japanese snow village! Skiing/Boarding on the slopes of Myoko feels like you've ventured out to the backcountry with endless powder runs lined by rusty red-barked dakekamba birches. Many of our travellers are now adding a week at Myoko to their week at Hakuba or Nozawa Onsen when seeking snow adventures in Japan. If you are looking for a party scene of pubs and clubs then Myoko will disappoint you. Myoko is well known for its very laid back lifestyle where boarding and skiing is the priority.
