Did you know? 🤔 Your intervertebral discs are largely composed of water 💧 When you get out of bed in the morning your discs are filled to the max. You then walk around throughout the day and you lose about 1cm of disc height due to gravity. They then rehydrate as you sleep 😴 This has implications for those with disc injuries, you will often feel the worst 😫 in the morning because of the increases amount of pressure in the disc. Just give it some time, go for a walk. It will start to feel better when the pressure decreases.
