On behalf of all staff at Highview College, we wish our community a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy, and blessed New Year. We hope everyone enjoys their time away from school and comes back in 2017 recharged, refreshed, and ready for what will be an excellent school year! To all our departing students, including those who have finished Year 12 - good luck for your futures and thank you for being part of our history. To all our departing staff, thank you for all your efforts to help our Highview College students be the best people they can be. You will be missed and we wish you all the best for the future. To our new 2017 students, parents, guardians, and staff, especially our 2017 Year 7s - welcome to Highview College, and we are looking forward to you joining our community. Please note that College Reception is now closed and will reopen Monday 16 January. Emails and Facebook messages sent to us will be responded to as soon as possible.
Congratulations to our graduating Year 12s. They received their ATARs earlier this week to mark the end of their secondary school journey. We are proud not only of their academic achievements, but also of the young men and women they have become. They truly embody the holistic development we strive for at Highview College. Our Class of 2016 featured three students who achieved an ATAR of 90 or more, putting them in the top few thousand graduating students across the entire state. This is a seriously good achievement and shows that our students can compete with anyone else in Victoria. Special mention must go to our 2016 Dux Lauren Sammut, who achieved the exceptional ATAR of 97.35. We wish our entire Class of 2016 all the very best for the future!

Some excitement from EBT - Saturday!
Presentations for the EBT weekend. Fantastic work by our Highview teams and the participants from across Victoria and Australia. Our VCE team Nevis won their division in an excellent overall display. Our Junior team Finding eFISHiencY came second in their division and were winners of the 24 hour time trial. Our Open team #onlythebeginning came second in their division and were winners of the display and presentation section. We are enormously proud of the participants, pit crew, volunteers, parents, friends, and everyone involved in the team. The work involved is massive and they all deserve to be commended.
