Blue Haven Care is offering a fun & fitness activity for younger people living with a disability. Supervised by a qualified fitness trainer, the main goal is social inclusion, health & wellness along with fun & friendship. Feedback from our participants has been very positive! The group is on Tuesdays from 11-11.30am and transport is provided. Afterwards the group goes out for a social lunch. If you would like to join please contact Margaret at Blue Haven Care on 42320475.

Blue Haven Care recently celebrated International Day of Ability by hosting an interactive arts activity with the assistance of a professional artist. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed creating a wonderful masterpiece to take home. A big thank you to the Gerringong Lions Club for cooking the BBQ!

Happy International Volunteer Day 2016! Blue Haven Care volunteers make a positive impact and a real difference in the lives of the aged and younger people with a disability. Volunteers assist with Community Transport, shopping, activities, excursions, social groups, special events and respite for carers. At the same time, volunteers get the opportunity to connect with our community, make new friends and boost their social skills. Blue Haven Care would like to take this opportunity to express our warmest gratitude and acknowledge our volunteers for their continuous commitment and kindness. We couldn’t do it without you!

On Sunday 31 October, Blue Haven Care provided a social outing to see ‘Radiance of the Seas’ entering Port Kembla for the first time. It was a huge day for the Illawarra and everyone was excited to get out and about and experience this majestic event. Afterwards the group enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at the Illawarra Yacht Club.
