Lisa's Tree of Life Family Day Care
Description
Tree of Life is all about nurturing the seed for life long learning, PLAY being the fundamental tool in an emergent curriculum, natural environment. What makes a child? Inspired by the works of Reggio Emilia and Montessori, among others, I believe that each and every child is unique, independent, inquisitive, competent and capable individuals who deserve environments that support the need for aesthetic appreciation, exploration and investigation. My aim is for children to play, reflect and grow into responsible young beings that have agency, and can promote their own learning and development.
My role as the service provider here at Tree of Life Family Day Care will be to create these supporting home environments and utilise the wider community resources that will in turn connect to the individual child's responsibility to the natural world, encouraging joy, wonder, respect and an understanding of the world in which we live and breathe, whilst making new discoveries and explorations of the world around them. By providing these spaces I can enrich a child's physical, personal, social, emotional, spiritual and cognitive opportunities in life and learning holistically speaking, and therefore be able to take with them into the foundation years and beyond.

Our spontaneous visit was to the discovery sphere where we supported Hervey Bay heritage and this beautiful inspiring place of natural wonders. We were amazed overwhelmed and very curious, miss S said she had a great day and loved the whales, turtles, fish, crabs 🦀 and dinosaur. We helped to feed the hermet crabs, they were rather big crabs. We enjoyed exploring and wandering around investigating and discovering, provoking lots of interactive discussions and learning experiences from puzzles, books, magnified looking glass with hidden creatures and objects, kangaroo races and much more. In the theatre room we sat together and watched the Fraser Island viewing and seen some wonderful amazing marine life and flora and fauna We are very lucky you live in this wonderful place let's keep up the great work
