Tuning When Changing Fuels All fuels may be similar but slight differences in specific gravity/viscosity/additives will mean they can flow differently through your fuel delivery system. Under wide open throttle (where race engines spend most of their time) this could cause your engine to run richer or leaner depending on the existing tune, which could cause the engine to run too lean and cause an engine failure. For this reason we strongly recommend tuning your bike/car to suit the specific fuel you are using (re-tune when you change fuels) or as a minimum richen your engine one jet size and work from there. When using consistent quality race fuels like Powerplus proper tuning of your engine will give you more power and smoother fuel curves giving you safe, strong & repeatable performance
