History and Culture Tour Our last day in Paris was big with an excursion to the Palace of Versailles, (where it was freezing), followed by an afternoon at the Louvre and fare-welling the city from the top of the Arc of Triomphe. We fly home in the morning and look forward to seeing our families again, but will miss the croissants, pastries and three course meals we have received each night in Paris.

History and Culture Tour - Day 13 Our day commenced in Bayeux to see a famous tapestry made in the 1070s - now that is old! But most of our day focussed on WWII. We visited Omaha Beach, one site of the D Day landings and now home to the American War Memorial - a beautiful place of peace and calmness. We also visited the Caen D-Day Memorial Museum and surrounding countryside. It has been another meaningful day and one never to be forgotten.

History and Culture Tour Day 12 took us from Ypres to Caen. We visited Thiepval, Amiens and Villers Brettoneux along the way. We presented a College plaque to representatives from the Franco-Australian Museum as a sign of peace and cooperation. It was another day of solemn contemplation and thanks for the peace our country Australia has enjoyed.

We said farewell to London this morning and travelled to Brugge by train. Our last night in London was fun, going out to dinner, and then a choice of Christmas markets, going to the theatre, Natural History Museum or more shopping. It has been a wonderful experience.
