Exercises for Short /Tight Pelvic Floor Muscles
This article is brilliant !! It challenges the assumption that most of us have loose / weak pelvic floors that we need to strengthen. I must stress that this is VERY often not the problem. Many women / girls have an OVERACTIVITY of these muscles. It may be that your pilates / exercise program is not helping you and in fact contributing to an aggravation of symptoms. .eg leaking of urine, constipation, prolapse or pain on intercourse.
