Gosh how soon is Christmas. Ring and ask for a deal if you are coming to Emerald for shopping. The shops already look amazing!

Two lovely young ladies doing work experience at the Emerald hospital...... very impressive girls.... They loved their experience and want to become nurses....and I am sure they will do well. Best of luck girls.

Last week had some great guests. Mariette and Corrie from Germany... came to go to the gem fields and loved the place so much they are coming back! Mariette is so generous.... bought beautiful jewellery for her girls and none for herself!

Our latest review....It's called "Emerald Magic" A wonderful little piece of heaven in Emerald. Fantastic room. Spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could ask for, microwave, kitchen sink, air con , even wine glasses! Very close to shopping village, bowling club, Tavern and McDonalds. The couple that run the motel are very welcoming and helpful with any enquiries. We felt that we were staying at a place similar to our own home. Very comfortable indeed! We would highly recommend this little place to anyone travelling through Emerald.

I love this..... Pat took his wife to the gem fields..... it was hot and dusty.... getting a bucket of dirt to sift for gem stones seemed like a hot and dirty job.... he marched her straight into a gem store and hey presto a beautiful ring on his wife's finger.... love your style Pat!

Had the loveliest ladies here last week with some babies. They are wild life carers and they had 4 little( and I mean reeealy little) joey's in pouches with them. Have photos and will put them up soon.

We have Joe and his crew here from Sydney. Great bunch of gentlemen. Also this weekend have had people here for 7- a- side rugby. Some one had to have respite from sleeping at the school and chose us! Can't disclose any names......

Have been waiting and waiting for the desert rose to bloom...a good shower of rain and we have hot pink, pail pink and golden bells peeping through...... they are so pretty..... any advice re desert rose care or just neglect!

Wow! Race week in Emerald is a blast! Dave has enjoyed ferrying some gorgeous things to the track and Patience and her sister bought me a bunch of flowers! how nice is that. Seriously I think the Women's Weekly should come to town just to see how girls from the bush get it together.
