COACH IN FOCUS...Liv Blakis This year, Liv is celebrating 10 years at Jets...that's 10 years of fun, friendships, fitness and fundamentals!! Her gymnastics career at Jets started at the age of 6. To this day, Liv is still very much loving gymnastics, competing Level 8 in the Jets Eltham Gymstar Squad. Psst...her favourite coaches are sisters Aley Toll and Zara Toll! On top of gymnastics, Liv has also been coaching at Jets for 2 years and says she loves the happy and energetic environment that working on the gym floor brings! Liv is in Year 10 at St Helena Secondary College and hopes to become a primary school teacher in the future. Well if one thing's for sure...we know that Liv is great with kids!! COACH IN FOCUS...Josie Molloy Give us a...J...O...S...I...E! Josie is known as the CHEERLEADER here at Jets...training up to 4 times a week at Atomic Cheerleading in Thomastown. Before becoming a cheerleader, Josie was a State Squad gymnast at Jets. She was coached by James and Sonia, competing up to State Level 5. Her favourite apparatus ~ and still to this day ~ is floor. Josie LOVES to tumble, her best tumbling line being a: frontsault step-out, round-off flip, whip, layout (WOW!) In between cheerleading, Josie coaches at Jets and has been doing so for 5 years! Not only that, she studies International Studies at RMIT University...and dreams of one day, travelling the world. Next time you see Josie ~ say hello and you never know...if you're lucky she might even show you a trick!

COACH IN FOCUS...Lauren Parkinson Lauren has been working at Jets for 2 years and trained as a gymnast for 9 years! In her gymnastics career, Lauren was apart of the State Squad and competed up to State Level 8...before deciding to move into coaching. Looking back, Lauren says her favourite coaches were definitely James and Sonia Devlin...and a highlight of her career was competing at the Victorian Championships. Her favourite apparatus? According to Lauren ~ bars is the best!! Now, Lauren is currently doing Year 12 at Loyola College and looks forward to studying graphic design when she graduates. Lauren says working at Jets is the best because nothing beats seeing kids improve and achieve new skills! Thanks for being apart of the Jets team Lauren!

COACH IN FOCUS...Hailey Thomas Ever since she was 5 years old, Hailey has been apart of the Jets family. Now more than 10 years on, Hailey is still doing gymnastics at Jets, excelling through the squad program over at Diamond Creek...and coaching as well! Coaching at both Jets Eltham and Jets Diamond Creek for 3 years, Hailey takes stars and trampoline classes, while juggling a busy gymnastics training schedule and Year 11 at St Helena Secondary College. If you're lucky enough to get a glimpse of Hailey when she's training...look out for her giant full on bars...she's just added this amazing skill to her competition routine! An interesting fact about Hailey is that her sister Lauren and mum Rita, ALSO work at Jets...it must be a great workplace here indeed!! Hailey says she loves coaching because she is passionate about gymnastics and she can teach skills to younger kids. Keep up the great work Hailey!
