Mackenzie has made it very clear to her mum, Peta, that lifting is her passion. That's literally what she said, 'It's my passion.' Kenzie is the youngest of three, very headstrong and knows exactly what she wants. 😂 She didn't want to do hip hop, she wanted to train even though we haven't run kids classes for a while. She works with Steph for 30 minutes once a week and comes in with her mum for one other session a week. Kenzie is learning how to brace and control her body now. There's no reason for her to lift heavy weights, but watching the way she focuses and tried her hardest we just know she is going to be one amazing little lifter before she even reaches her teens! Today we focused on learning how to sit back in the squat and bracing her core with some ab and breathing work to finish. Mackenzie knows that if she focuses on the small things now she'll create some good habits to build on later down the track.

Comraderie. Find a friend who backs you 100%. Then get them to slap you on the back before that heavy deadlift for the ultimate psych up. Adam moved to VIC not long ago and since then has been an awesome asset to our team. After his first week with us he put his hand up to help at the Pretty and Powerful Comp, then apologised for not staying all day. Ummm..ok! Here he is helping Kane psych up for his last dead on the weekend. Kane finished on a PB of 227.5kg. He's also responsible for the best smoked beef you've ever tasted. BEGINNER LIFTING CHALLENGE In our 8 Week Beginner Challenge we cover all the basics you need to know to lift safely for best results, to get on top of your nutrition and get serious about your training goals. We host 3 classes per week, with the option of a 4th teaching lifters the technique required to get stronger, with a focus mobility, activation, nutrition, paired with conditioning sessions. We take a realistic and simple approach to your training goals and nutrition to help you stay in control. Our next Challenge kicks off on the 29th of May and will run for 8 weeks. If you've been wanting to expand your experience in weight training, take your goals further and gain a comprehensive understanding of lifting and progressing, then you will learn lots from our next course. Classes: Monday 7.30pm Mobility and Technique Wednesday 6.30am Strength Training Thursday 7.30pm Conditioning Optional Class (this is free to all members) Sunday 10.00am Yard Mixed Session Cost: Full cost is $200 or $30 per week. Darren deadlifting a 20kg PB of 220kg in his first session here. Before today, his best deadlift was 200kg. We tweaked a few things, mainly getting him amped up and lifting in a supportive environment, we also added a proper belt and deadlift bar. These things, while they may not seem like a huge deal, definitely help make the difference between good results and GREAT results. Aspire Pursue Succeed

Before today, his best deadlift was 200kg. We tweaked a few things, mainly getting him amped up and lifting in a supportive environment, we also added a proper belt and deadlift bar.

Nick surprising everyone tonight with his 125kg bench. Hes been with us for 4 months and doing well with his training so we thought we would test his bench, before today his heaviest bench was 85 3x6 so to bust a 125 is amazing.
