With a new theme every week your child will learn valuable life skills as well as have fun, keep active and develop basic motion skills and hand-eye coordination. This program has been created specifically for 3 to 5 year olds and focuses on Life Skills, Safety Skills and Basic Martial Arts Skills. As our most increasingly popular program this class is run two times a week. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays

Did we say NO BAKE??... 5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Energy Bites (servings 12 bites) Ingredients: ⅔ cup creamy peanut butter ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup old fashioned oats ½ cup ground flax seeds 2 tablespoons honey Directions: Combine all 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir to combine. Place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes so they are easier to roll. Roll into 12 bites and store in the fridge for up to a week. (Credit: http://buff.ly/2ncAWJx)

Super fast, tasty and healthy meal for your kids. Here it is: - Pour some oats in a bowl. - Add milk (or nut milk) - Add a table spoon of peanut butter (or any nut butter) - Add less than a teaspoon of honey Mix it all up, and enjoy! Oats are actually great cold - but if your child doesn't like cold oats, just heat it all up for a minute in the microwave ;-) Have a great one! THE FITNESS DILEMMA The other day I sent out an email about "technology addiction" in kids. This post follows suit. It used to be that for kids to have fun, you'd have to go outside and play. You'd end up running, biking and playing for hours. The time would just fly by. Now-a-days, there are more in-door games than you could possibly count. As a result, there are way too many kids who never get the amount of exercise their bodies need. Here are a few solutions for you... Martial Arts Class It's fun. It's full of great exercise. It teaches social skills, respect & self-defence. I might be biased , but I can't recommend it enough. (Click here to try out our martial arts classes for kids: 3-5yo: http://bit.ly/2dEEPTE Team Sports If your kid's a natural athlete, team sports might be a good way to go. This is a tricky one though. When the wrong kid is forced into team sports, it can be devastating to self-esteem. But if it's a good fit, team sports are really amazing. "No Technology Time" Set a block of time every day where your kids aren't allowed to use ANY technology. Make them get outside, and use their own imaginations for fun and exercise. Get Creative I'm sure you've solved parenting problems more difficult than this ;-). Use that noggin of yours to come up with some great ideas. Till next time, Michael p.s. Here's Some quick facts... More and more studies are emerging that show a direct link between exercise & happiness in kids. Are your kids getting enough exercise? With all of the activities and games these days that require no movement at all (video games, iPads, smart phones, TV etc.)... It's never been more critical to insure that your child is getting the exercise that he or she needs. Don't let them sit out at sport or PE! Encourage them to run and play during recess. And try to work exercise into their lives outside of school too. If you're having trouble with this... Martial arts is an amazing way for kids to get the exercise they need. I have some great news friends! We are very excited to announce that CFTA MARTIAL ARTS are joining forces with the Police Welfare Association and NSW Police Street Smart Handbook to arm Kids with all the relevant information leading into the Adult World. This handbook is an official AUSPOL - Police Welfare association initiative, the information contained inside is directly relevant for the school leaver who is entering into the world of adulthood. There is vital information regarding drugs, sex, money, jobs, travelling, healthy mind and much more. It will be delivered to all year 11 students through our local schools. The book will be delivered to all year 11 students, with a minimum of 10,000 copies per edition across all NSW regions Thanks very much for allowing our school to work closely with you
