Lakeview Senior College
Description
Lakeview Senior College is located in Caroline Springs and caters for Year 10 to 12 students. Lakeview Senior College formally opened on 1st January, 2012. Prior to this date the College operated as one of four campuses of Caroline Springs College. A demerger of these campuses led to the establishment of four separate Colleges; Brookside P-9 College, Creekside P-9 College, Springside P-9 College and Lakeview Senior College.
The College anticipates a student population of more than 1000 in 2015 which enables us to offer students an extensive selection of subjects at each year level. Hence, every student at Lakeview Senior College is able to undertake a learning pathway tailored to their individual needs. The College maintains a culture of academic excellence where individual student achievement is promoted and celebrated.

Our first 4-weekly report cycle is now available for viewing via the Compass portal. We have made some changes to the progress reports in an attempt to make them more informative for students. Changes include the addition of information on attendance, effort, and also a numerical value so that students will be able to track their progress throughout the year. There are also some graphs included to show visually how a student is progressing in each subject. Make sure you log-on to Compass to look at your report. Parent / Teacher / Student Conversations are occurring next Wednesday 8th March from 1-8pm and appointments can be made on the Compass portal.

On Friday Shayne Rule, our College Principal, officially opened our Memorial Garden here at Lakeview Senior College. This beautiful space will provide members of the school community an area they can use to remember and reflect upon those who are no longer with us. We would like to acknowledge the contribution of the 2016 VCAL team, both students and staff (namely 11P VCAL and Megan Dreyer), to the design of the garden. We would also like to thank David Oxley (music teacher) and the music students who sang beautifully during the official opening.

We would like to thank our students for an outstanding start to the school year. We had 1040 students commence school on Tuesday; approximately 350 of these were Year 10 students. It would seem that, despite this large number, students have settled in well to school life at Lakeview.
